With a turnover of approximately EUR 18.5 billion euros and annual personnel expenses of EUR 500 million the members of the German Employers’ Association for Nicotine and Innovation (Nikotin und Innovation e.V.) represent a significant economic force in Germany.

Around 6,000 people currently work for the association’s member companies and further approximately 180,000 jobs* in Germany are closely linked to them – many of these in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Our collective bargaining policy aims to secure attractive working conditions and maintain the industry as a reliable employer in the industrial SME sector. For over 75 years the association has worked in best practice social partnership with the Food, Beverages and Catering Union (NGG) – a model based on cooperation, predictability and social responsibility.
